ISO 14001
As of September 2008, United Waste Water Services, Inc., celebrated it's 10th year as being certified to the ISO 14001 standard!United was the first oil recycling company in the United States to become certified to this ISO 14001 standard. In today's business climate, what does this certification mean to you, the customer?
- It means that United has conformed to one of the most rigorous environmental management standards in today's regulated industry.
- It means that each of our employees has a keen understanding of how, in performing their duties at United, they affect the environment and how to minimize this impact through proper safety, health, and environmental training.
- Lastly, it means that United continues to strive for improvement by being the first oil recycling company in the United States to achieve this standard. We will not change who we are, we will just continue to get better at what we do best-service you, the customer!
ISO 14001 is an International Environmental Standard, or more specifically, the specification standard that defines the element of an Environmental Management System (EMS). This standard provides the framework for performance improvement, control and regulatory compliance for a company.
